From Nashville to Memphis

After we finished visiting Dad and Lynn in Nashville, we decided to stop in Memphis to visit D's family. While we were there, we took D's mom out to dinner for an early Mother's Day. I had made her some jewelry that she LOVED! I was pretty proud, and she was so happy, too!

The next day, we went to Beale Street Music Festival, which is part of Memphis in May. We got to ride the trolly to the music festival, which was fun! It had been raining, so everything was covered in mud... not so fun. But later that night, we went with D's dad down Beale Street. We saw these guys doing crazy back flips and front flips. Took a little video of 'em. Overall, we had a great time hanging out with D's dad, which we don't do that often.

Happy Birthday, Sissy!

Sissy,

I know you didn't want a birthday this year. Too many hard, bad memories. But I love you, and I think you still deserve to celebrate one of the best days in history. I'm glad you're my sister.

*in my best singing voice ever*
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy BIRTHDAY dear Sissy!
Happy Birthday to you!!
(and many more...)

Back to blogging

Sorry I've been away for a while. I'm back now.

While we were in Nashville, we went to the Opryland Hotel. If you've never been there, it's quite an experience! They have maps just so you won't get lost! At night, they have this cool water show with lights and music. It is really neat to watch the water waltzing around. Here is a little video footage I took of it! Enjoy!

Another one for Mom

Mom loved the group Il Divo! She thought they sounded great, and thought they looked pretty good, too! :) So this one's for her. This picture was taken on Mother's Day two years ago.

For Momma

Happy Mother's Day, Mom.

We all miss you.

Parthenon

In Nashville, they have a replica of the Parthenon. It is the same size as the original in Greece. Inside, they have a replicated Athena. She's huge! In ancient times, Athena was made out of real gold. The people of Greece worshiped her and thought she would protect them. This was an impressive sight indeed.

Nashville

So D and I went to visit family this past weekend. The first place we went was a park. We saw these geese with their babies and thought they were so cute! They also had some pretty flowers and took the opportunity to take some pictures.

*More posts on our recent trip to follow. But I thought I'd give all of you out there who are "bored" something new to look at! (hee hee) ;)*
