Pics from my first gig!

Here are just a few pics from the wedding I did this past weekend! It was my first wedding ever, so keep that in mind! Also, I haven't done any cool effects to the pics yet. They are just the way I took them. I hope you all enjoy. Your comments are welcome and much appreciated!!

I'm not trying to be hateful, just honest. And I've been watching as you post various photos. Seriously, here's some advice: Take some photography classes. And if you already have/are , find another teacher. Anyone can take pictures of inanimate objects and make them look good. You've got to learn to capture the souls of your subjects. And I'm not trying to be rude. You could think of it as constructive criticism. Something other than compliments without real base for reason--as I've seen on this site before.

P.S. NICE TOUCH "Comment moderation has been enabled. All comments must be approved by the blog author." You must be afraid someone might insult your work. You don't want viewers to see real opinions, just edited ones?

Sincerely, Anonymous

Don't let them get you down, Sweetie. You're still learning, and hateful comments don't do anyone any good. There is a difference between constructive criticism and just criticism. No one starts out doing everything perfectly, and you really do have a good eye for photography. If I had had comments like that when I started designing, I guarantee I wouldn't be where I am with my career today. Blow it off, and keep shooting!

Okay, #1: I have had photography classes. My father has been a photography for 40+ years. So I might have learned a thing or two about photography. Although according to you I know nothing about it, and the teachers I've had need to find a new career as well. I do plan to continue my education with seminars and workshops in the photography field.
#2: Not everyone can make inanimate objects look good. If you don't believe me, I can post some of my husband's pictures. (He would agree with me.) Yes, I should "capture the souls" of the people that I photograph. And I think I do that. This wedding, however, may not have been the best opportunity to.
#3: Constructive critisim was not in your first post. This second one was. With my personality type, I need the comments to cushion the critisism. You just plainly shot me down with nothing good to say... at all.
#4: As for comment moderation, I had been planning on moderating them for a while. You just gave me a reason to stop procrastinating. And no, I'm not afraid to hear that people don't like my stuff. I don't even like all of it. But for better protection for my blog, I needed to up the security. And comment moderation was just one aspect of uping the security.
